These terms govern your use of the hosting, domain registration, and related services provided by Monkhost (monkhost.co.uk). By purchasing or using any Monkhost service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Monkhost provides web hosting packages (Ember, Ascend, Sanctum), domain registration, and optional managed domain services. All hosting is delivered via 20i's infrastructure. We act as a reseller of 20i services and are subject to 20i's terms in addition to our own.
Payments are processed via 20i HostShop. We do not store card details. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
You may cancel your hosting subscription at any time. Monthly plans (Ascend, Sanctum) will continue until the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused days. Annual plans (Ember) are non-refundable after 14 days from the date of purchase.
Domain registrations are non-refundable once the registration has been submitted to the registry. Managed domain service fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.
All plans include free domain registration for the first year. Ember includes one free domain up to the value of a .co.uk registration (£9.99/yr). Ascend and Sanctum include two free domains — one up to the value of a .co.uk (£9.99/yr) and one up to the value of a .com (£15.49/yr). Customers may choose any domain within the applicable price band; any domain exceeding that value requires a top-up payment for the difference. Renewal after the first year is chargeable at our standard rate. Free domains cannot be transferred to a cash equivalent.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
We target 99.9% uptime in line with 20i's infrastructure SLA. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control, including 20i infrastructure issues, DDoS attacks, or domain registry outages.
Under the Managed Domain Service, Monkhost will manage DNS records, handle renewals, and action any DNS changes you request via email. Changes will be made within 1 business day of request. We are not liable for outages caused by incorrect DNS information provided by you. The managed service does not include web development, content changes, or hosting support beyond DNS.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monkhost's liability for any claim arising from these terms or the use of our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for loss of revenue, loss of data, or indirect or consequential losses of any kind.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active customers of material changes by email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the service after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
